    Francesca Bianchi

Francesca Bianchi spent her twenties drifting through Florence, Berlin, Luxembourg, and Amsterdam, working in art book publishing, before a book on natural perfumery changed everything. She was twenty-eight when she began studying and experimenting with essential oils on her own, turning a lifelong love of fragrance into a professional calling. After graduating in Art History from the University of Florence, she carried that analytical eye into the laboratory, treating perfume as she would a painting or a sculpture: something to be conceived, refined, and felt. She launched her namesake line in 2016 from Amsterdam, where she still creates in her studio before each formula is hand-prepared in Italy. The brand has since reached over two hundred fifty points of sale across sixty countries, built not through advertising but through word of mouth among those who seek something that lasts long after the first spray.

    How Francesca composes

Bianchi gravitates toward rare and complex materials. Iris especially enchants her for its contradictions: violet and green, earthy and powdery, elegant and raw. She pairs precious florals and woods with gutsy, unexpected twists that give her fragrances their distinctive personality. High concentrations of natural raw materials combined with synthetics ensure longevity and depth. Each creation spends anywhere from six months to four years in development, sometimes longer. The results are bold, intimate extrait de parfums designed to feel alive on the skin, shifting in ways that reward patience and repeated wearing. Her style resists category: gothic alongside sensual, nostalgic alongside modern, dark alongside luminous.

    Philosophy

    What drives Francesca

Bianchi calls perfume a liquid emotion, an intellectual process born from the desire to express concepts and evoke states of mind. She does not chase trends. She builds fragrances around ideas that obsessively occupy her, layering natural materials with synthetics to create something that stirs the wearer's own reservoir of memories. For Bianchi, perfumery is alchemy: mixing specific ingredients yields an entirely new entity that did not previously exist. Her goal is always emotional impact, the kind that makes someone stop and remember something they thought they had forgotten. She teaches what she practices: understanding how scent reaches the feelings beneath conscious thought.
