English Pear & Sweet Pea launched in 2023 as a lighter, greener sibling to Jo Malone's much-loved English Pear & Freesia. While the original stays in the sweet-tart orchard lane, this one tilts toward a cooler, more botanical register. The brand placed it firmly in their floral category, sitting alongside their other spring-coded, soft-focus compositions. Anne Flipo composed it. She is one of the perfumers who shaped Jo Malone's modern catalog, with a hand in many of the brand's clean, garden-style florals. Sweet pea does the supporting work here, carrying the composition toward something cooler and more herbal than the original's freesia. The pear note never tips into dessert territory; it stays crisp, almost waxy, with a green undertone that keeps the whole thing honest.
