A house, in its own words
Christopher DiCas launched his eponymous fragrance house as an extension of his creative career in entertainment. Born in Piraeus, Greece, DiCas built his public profile as an actor and model before transitioning into the world of scent creation. His earliest fragrance work appeared in 2011 with the release of Christopher Dicas Eau de Parfum, establishing the foundational olfactory identity that subsequent releases would develop. This debut was followed by the 2012 launch of 69, a fragrance that would later receive an intensified concentration flanker. The brand gained notable visibility through fragrance reviewers on platforms like YouTube, where creators tested and discussed DiCas releases. In 2018, the house expanded significantly with both Le Parfum and 69 Le Parfum, the latter drawing from what the brand described as an olfactory theme born at the end of the 19th century at the Tsars' court, which subsequently traveled to Europe where it took the name Guir de... (a reference appearing in promotional materials for the fragrance). DiCas operated his own company beginning in 2018, consolidating his fragrance operations under direct creative and business control. The house has maintained a Greek identity throughout its development, with Piraeus remaining central to the founder's biography and brand narrative. Christopher DiCas approaches fragrance as an extension of personal identity rather than a commercial product category. The brand philosophy centers on translating the visual and emotional language of performance art into scent, reflecting DiCas' background in acting where presence, atmosphere, and emotional resonance define success. Each fragrance functions as a kind of olfactory character study, with the house selecting themes and materials that carry narrative weight rather than purely hedonistic appeal. The Greek origins of the founder inform a Mediterranean perspective that values sensuality, natural materials, and the particular quality of Mediterranean light and landscape. Rather than chasing industry trends, the house develops fragrances based on personal creative impulse and thematic interest, resulting in a collection that feels cohesive despite spanning different olfactory territories. The brand maintains that fragrance should function as a form of self-expression, allowing wearers to communicate identity and mood through scent rather than simply smelling pleasant.
