Heritage
A house, in its own words
Auraa Desire sits under the umbrella of Rasasi Perfumes, a family-owned enterprise founded in 1979 by the late Haji Abdul Razzaque Kalsekar. From its beginnings in the UAE, Rasasi built a reputation as a prolific Arabian perfume house, producing everything from traditional mukhallats to modern designer-style fragrances across multiple price tiers. Over four decades, the brand expanded its reach throughout the Middle East, South Asia, and growing international markets, becoming a familiar name for accessible, well-made Arabian perfumery. Auraa Desire emerged in 2023 as a separate branded collection within the Rasasi portfolio, signaling a move toward a more opulent, lifestyle-driven positioning. By 2025, the line had added new editions and built a modest following, with a dedicated Dubai-based social presence touting refinement and sophistication. While young as a standalone label, it draws on Rasasi's deep roots in Arabian fragrance tradition and its established manufacturing capabilities in the region. Auraa Desire positions itself around the idea of aura as personal atmosphere, the scented impression one leaves behind. The brand describes its creations as opulent perfumes meant to exude refinement, sophistication, and distinction. Rather than chasing minimalism, the line commits to richness: gourmand bases of vanilla, cream, and cocoa layered with warm spices and boozy accords like cognac. It targets a wearer who wants presence, something statement-making rather than skin-close. The philosophy is also one of accessible luxury within the Rasasi family, offering a more expressive, design-forward counterpoint to the parent house's broader catalog without abandoning the Arabian perfumery heritage that underpins everything the parent company makes.
