Heritage
A house, in its own words
The Adriana Karembeu fragrance line was born from a partnership between the model herself and Mane, the French fragrance house headquartered in Le Bar-sur-Loup. According to press coverage from late 2011, the two signatures, Adriana Karembeu for Her and Adriana Karembeu for Him, were officially unveiled on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. The launch followed Karembeu's earlier work in cosmetics and represented a deliberate expansion into perfumery, with Mane providing the technical and creative backbone. In 2021, the brand introduced Elle Eau de Parfum, a second feminine addition that broadened the catalog and signaled ongoing activity under Karembeu's name. Beyond her own house, Karembeu has remained visible in the fragrance world. She attended the Haute Fragrance Company Christmas Party at the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris on December 11, 2025, connecting her brand to a wider circle of niche and artistic perfumery. Her public association with Thierry Mugler's Angel, a fragrance she has reportedly worn for nearly eight years, further roots her aesthetic sensibility within the French tradition. Karembeu's approach to fragrance is rooted in personal expression rather than trend-chasing. Her debut pairing of a feminine and masculine scent suggested a belief that fragrance should complete a shared narrative between two people, a concept woven into the for Her and for Him naming convention. By collaborating with Mane, she aligned herself with a house known for ingredient sourcing and creative breadth, signaling that she viewed her own brand as a vehicle for serious olfactory work rather than a celebrity side project. Her public statements, including reflections on her favorite scent (Thierry Mugler's Angel), point to a sensibility drawn toward compositions with emotional resonance and memory. The 2021 launch of Elle Eau de Parfum extends this thread, suggesting a philosophy that treats each release as an evolution of personal identity. Karembeu's presence at industry gatherings such as the Haute Fragrance Company event in Paris in December 2025 also reflects an orientation toward craftsmanship and artistic collaboration within the wider fragrance community.
