Tausif Shaikh
Tausif Iqbal Shaikh grew up in Mumbai with a nose tuned to scent long before he knew the word perfumery. While studying for his MBA, he began selling fragrances and attars around 2013, learning the rhythms of Indian perfumery from the supply side: what customers reached for, what lingered too long, what they came back for. That early apprenticeship in commerce sharpened his instincts for what a fragrance owes the person wearing it. He later spent time in the FMCG and perfume trade across India and Dubai, roles that grounded his creative ambitions in the realities of distribution, retail, and consumer behavior. In 2020, he founded Heavenduft, his independent niche house, where he writes, blends, and tests every formula himself. His debut release marked the arrival of a self-taught perfumer who had spent nearly a decade listening to the Indian market before asking it to listen to him. Today he operates from Mumbai, releasing compositions shaped by patience, restraint, and a willingness to hold a bottle back when the work is not finished.
