Dirk Lauven
Dirk Lauven grew up in Germany with an early awareness of what fragrance could mean. As a teenager, he encountered Mülhens GmbH & Co. KG, a historic fragrance house that planted the seed for what would become a three-decade career. He pursued formal training at ISIPCA in Paris, immersing himself in the precise science and subtle artistry that define the school's approach to perfumery. Lauven spent the years building his expertise across fragrance categories, eventually rising to lead Fragrance Resources as CEO Europe and Senior Perfumer. When IFF acquired the company in 2017, Lauven brought his breadth of experience into one of the world's largest fragrance organizations. He now holds the title of Master Perfumer while serving as Global Creative and Commercial Officer and Managing Director of IFF Fragrance GmbH. Lauven represents a rare breed: someone equally at home with the creative and commercial dimensions of scent.
