Tufi Duek was born May 31, 1954, in Nilópolis, a city in the Baixada Fluminense region of Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil. He established himself as a prominent Brazilian fashion designer before entering the fragrance industry. Duek founded the Triton brand, a successful jeans and fashion label that became culturally significant in Brazil during the 1980s and 1990s. The Forum fragrance line launched in 2000, marking his entry into perfumery. According to fragrance industry databases, the brand has collaborated with perfumers Jacques Huclier and Edison on various Forum releases over the years. The fragrance collection draws directly from Duek's fashion heritage, with many Forum flankers carrying denim-inspired names that reference his clothing design background. The house has maintained a steady release schedule, with Forum scents appearing roughly every one to three years from 2000 through 2022. Tufi Duek remains notable as one of the few Brazilian fashion designers to build an internationally recognized fragrance line.
