Heritage
A house, in its own words
Provision was launched in late 2016 by Sherri Sebastian as a fragrance and apothecary line. Sebastian, who had built a career in beauty prior to founding the company, set out to create a collection of highly crafted fragrant offerings that could sit alongside skin care, body care, and home products under a single, cohesive label. The initial release centered on three scents: Resonance, Las Flores, and Maitri, all introduced in 2016. The name Provision itself gestures toward preparation and care, and it frames the brand as one that supplies not just a product but an intentional ritual for the wearer. From the outset, Sebastian treated Provision as an independent venture, building the line without the backing of a large beauty conglomerate, which allowed her to maintain close creative control over both the fragrances and the ancillary body and home formulas. The brand's early momentum came through direct relationships with consumers and stockists who responded to its hybrid approach, one that refused to separate scent from the broader context of daily self-care. At the core of Provision is a belief that fragrance is inseparable from the broader rituals of skin care and well-being. The brand does not treat perfume as an isolated luxury object but rather as one element within a wider ecosystem of personal care products, each designed to support a sense of calm and intentionality. Sherri Sebastian has spoken about offering a mindful take on beauty and personal care, and this philosophy permeates the product architecture: scents share ingredient vocabularies with the body and home lines, encouraging layering and continuity between formats. Provision approaches perfumery with a focus on craftsmanship over volume, releasing a small, curated number of fragrances rather than chasing seasonal trends. The result is a label that prizes coherence, emotional resonance, and a slower, more deliberate pace of creation.
