A house, in its own words
The story of Panah London begins in early 2016 when a group of fragrance enthusiasts identified a gap in the UK market for niche scents that could be crafted with the precision of Swiss laboratories while retaining a distinctly British aesthetic. The founders, whose names are not publicly disclosed, launched the brand from a modest studio in London and partnered with a Swiss formulation house to develop their first line. That inaugural collection featured Roses Musk, Italian Citrus, Velvet Oudh and 24K Citrus, all released in the same year. In 2017 the house introduced Pink Champagne Truffle, a gourmand blend that combined brandy, chocolate and raspberry notes; the scent quickly attracted attention from independent reviewers on YouTube and fragrance blogs. 2018 marked a prolific period, with releases such as Chocolate Vanille, Gourmantic Orange Extrait De Parfum and Neroli Woods, each highlighting a different facet of the brand’s ingredient palette. The following years saw Panah expand its distribution, adding a sample set to its online shop in 2020 to give newcomers a low‑commitment way to experience the range. 2023 brought Legend of Mysore, a woody aromatic that references the historic Indian city and demonstrates the house’s willingness to explore geographic storytelling. Throughout its first decade Panah has maintained a small‑batch production model, limiting each launch to a few thousand bottles and re‑upping only when demand justifies a new run. The brand’s steady growth, measured releases and focus on quality have earned it a loyal following among niche collectors, even as it remains under the radar of mainstream luxury reporting.
Panah London describes itself as an artisanal brand that values precision, transparency and a personal connection to scent. The house believes that a perfume should tell a clear story, whether that story is rooted in a specific ingredient, a place or a memory. To achieve this, Panah selects aroma molecules that have proven performance in the industry and pairs them with natural extracts that add depth. The brand avoids vague claims of innovation; instead it highlights concrete choices such as using Swiss‑grade raw materials and limiting each batch to a defined quantity. Sustainability appears in the brand’s statements, with an emphasis on sourcing ingredients responsibly and minimizing waste through refillable packaging options. Panah also encourages collectors to build a personal library, offering sample sets that let users compare scents side by side before committing to a full bottle. This approach reflects a belief that fragrance is an intimate, exploratory experience rather than a one‑size‑fits‑all purchase.
