A house, in its own words
Off Script launched in 2026 as the sister label to Strangelove, the New York fragrance house founded by perfumer and creative director Bernardo Möller. Rather than expand an existing catalogue, the team chose to build a parallel world: a separate brand with its own point of view, its own retail strategy, and its own creative collaborators. The launch footprint was deliberately compact and ambitious. Three fragrances debuted together, presented in a setting designed for focused discovery: an exclusive residency on the sixth floor of Harrods in London. That decision set the tone immediately. Off Script was not entering the market as a diffusion line or an experimental sidebar. It arrived as a standalone house with a flagship moment in one of the most trafficked luxury retail destinations in the world. The brand appeared publicly at Scentfest SF, the first edition of the West Coast fragrance event, where Off Script was featured alongside other notable niche houses. Press and industry contacts were granted an early preview of the three-launch collection, building anticipation ahead of the wider rollout. While Off Script is young, its provenance carries weight through its relationship with Strangelove. The parent brand built its reputation on unconventional, mood-driven compositions with architectural and sensory depth. Off Script inherits that commitment to craft while pushing into more unstudied territory, a next chapter rather than a footnote. Off Script positions itself as a creator of fragrances that resist formula. Where the broader market tends toward safe categories and predictable gender codes, this house leans into the unexpected, composing perfumes that reward curiosity and second wearings. The brand's point of difference is its insistence on autonomy. As a separate house from Strangelove, Off Script operates with the freedom to take creative positions that might not fit anywhere else. The three launch fragrances function less as a product line and more as a thesis statement, each one staking a claim about what modern niche perfumery can sound like when the usual constraints are removed. At its core, Off Script treats fragrance as authorship. Every bottle carries the perspective of a perfumer who has been given room to surprise themselves. The result is a catalogue built on conviction rather than trend forecasting.
