Heritage
A house, in its own words
The lineage of Les Fleurs de Bach traces to the work of Dr. Edward Bach (1886-1936), a British physician and homeopath who spent years researching the therapeutic properties of flowering plants in the English countryside. Bach developed his system of 38 flower essences between 1928 and 1935, believing that失衡 emotional states could be addressed through preparations made from specific botanical specimens. His philosophy centered on simplicity and the gentle healing potential of nature. After Bach's death, his remedy system continued through the Bach Centre in Mount Vernon, England. The perfume house Les Fleurs de Bach emerged later, reportedly established to translate this botanical heritage into the language of French fragrance. Gérard Wolf, associated with the natural products sector, created a company called Fleurs essences et harmonie and opened what was reportedly the first shop worldwide dedicated exclusively to advice and sales of certified organic products. The French perfume arm developed its own fragrance collection, with several key releases appearing around 2011. Les Fleurs de Bach operates from the conviction that flowers carry both emotional and olfactory wisdom. The brand's approach treats each fragrance as a composition rooted in the same botanical specimens that Dr. Bach studied for his healing system. Rather than conventional perfumery accords, the house emphasizes natural ingredients and the authenticity of plant-derived materials. The philosophy holds that fragrance can serve purposes beyond mere aesthetics, connecting wearers to a tradition of botanical wellness that spans nearly a century. This perspective shapes how the house approaches creation, prioritizing transparency in ingredients and compositions that reflect their botanical sources.
