Heritage
A house, in its own words
LeGer was founded in 2017 by Lena Gercke, a German fashion model, television presenter, and entrepreneur who first rose to prominence as the winner of Germany's Next Topmodel in 2006. Based in Berlin, the brand grew from Gercke's broader lifestyle vision into a fashion and beauty house that speaks directly to a generation of independent women. The first fragrance, Signature Eau de Parfum, arrived as the keystone of a multi-product brand world. American beauty giant Coty signed a long-term license agreement with Gercke to develop, produce, and distribute the fragrance line, anchoring LeGer's ambitions with serious industry infrastructure. The collaboration with Coty gave the young house the resources of a major perfumery partner while preserving Gercke's creative direction and personal aesthetic. Signature quickly became the foundation that subsequent products would orbit, establishing the olfactory and visual codes the brand would carry forward. Since launch, LeGer has positioned itself at the intersection of celebrity-founded beauty and genuine product depth, with Gercke's personal brand of confidence and authenticity shaping every chapter of the company's growth. At its core, LeGer exists to bottle the feeling of self-possession. Gercke built the brand around the qualities she sees in the women she admires: confident, free-spirited, and quietly empowered. Each creation is conceived as an extension of that identity rather than a fleeting trend piece. The debut fragrance, an ambery gourmand, reflects a deliberate choice to lean into warmth and femininity without retreating into sweetness, signalling that sensuality and strength can coexist in a single composition. LeGer's creative vision also centers on accessibility and emotional resonance. Gercke has described wanting women to feel celebrated every time they reach for a LeGer bottle, a sentiment that guides product development beyond scent alone into packaging, naming, and campaign imagery. The brand treats fragrance as a daily ritual of self-expression, not an occasional indulgence. This philosophy of empowerment through scent gives the house a clear point of view in a crowded celebrity fragrance market.
