Heritage
A house, in its own words
Jozoor was founded in 2025, making it one of the youngest fragrance houses to enter the Middle Eastern market. The brand is led by Adham Kamal, who launched Jozoor at 21 years old. According to public reporting, the project began as a pivot following the closure of a previous venture, with Kamal channeling his interest in perfumery into a solo brand. Jozoor made a notable early impression with a pop-up activation along the Egyptian North Coast during the summer of its debut year, which helped establish visibility among regional fragrance audiences. By the end of 2025, the brand had expanded distribution into Mazaya stores, a retail chain operating in the Gulf region, signaling an intent to grow beyond a single-market presence. The brand's name itself, Jozoor, draws from the Arabic word for roots, a deliberate choice that connects the young house to the deeper history of Arabian fragrance traditions while signaling a fresh, contemporary direction. Jozoor's creative vision centers on reimagining Middle Eastern perfumery for a contemporary, global audience. Rather than reproducing traditional formulations, the house works to translate the sensibility of Arabian fragrance, its love of rich woods, resins, and musks, into compositions that feel relevant to modern wearers. The debut line reflects this balanced approach, pairing heavier Arabian signatures like oud and musk in perfume oil format with lighter, more accessible eaux de parfum such as Salted Wind and Vanilla Sirocco. The brand's own positioning describes the project as a voyage through scent, one that respects heritage while allowing for new interpretations. Kamal has spoken publicly about wanting to rewrite the local perfumery landscape, framing Jozoor as an independent voice in a category historically dominated by older, established houses. This philosophy of bridging tradition with modernity runs through every aspect of the brand, from ingredient selection to the structure of the fragrance lineup.
