A house, in its own words
Imprime was established by perfumer Timothy Han, who had already built a reputation in independent perfumery before launching the imprint. Drawing on his experience as a trained nose and his broader creative work in publishing and editorial design, Han conceived Imprime as a perfume house organized around the structure of a publishing imprint. Each release functions as a title in a growing catalogue, complete with its own concept and editorial framing. The brand's early years focused on building a tight library of scents rather than rapid expansion, with Han personally composing each composition. Imprint Editions, the publishing arm that supports the project, extended Han's literary sensibility into the olfactory medium, treating launches like book releases and treating wearers like readers. The name itself signals the intent: an imprint presses ideas into form, and Imprime presses them into scent. Imprime operates on the belief that fragrance is a literary act. Han treats each perfume as a piece of writing, complete with its own argument, pacing, and emotional register. The house designs scents for the independently minded, for wearers who treat fragrance as a vehicle for ideas rather than a decorative accessory. This editorial framework shapes everything from naming conventions to launch cadence. Rather than chasing trends or seasonal collections, Imprime builds a considered backlist of compositions meant to be revisited, reread, and reinterpreted on the skin. The result is a catalogue that rewards attention over impulse.
