Heritage
A house, in its own words
The story of Ibrahim Fuhaid begins in Riyadh, where the founder, Ibrahim Fuhaid, cultivated a lifelong fascination with raw materials such as agarwood, ambergris, and rare botanicals. In 2021 he released Vinoud, a composition that paired fresh citrus with a deep oud heart, marking the brand’s first public offering. Early press coverage on Fragrantica noted the launch as a fresh voice in a market dominated by European houses. The following year, Treng Waves arrived, expanding the palette with marine notes and a crisp green accord. 2023 proved pivotal: Night In Andalus introduced a warm, spice‑laden narrative, while Orrisilla highlighted a delicate iris‑based scent that earned a mention as “Best Perfume 2023” on a regional fragrance blog. 2024 saw the debut of Knight of Oud, a darker, leather‑infused oud, and Osmanthud, a limited edition that reinterpreted traditional oud with a modern mineral edge. By 2025 the house released Bright Aura Extrait de Parfum and Cider Oud, demonstrating a willingness to experiment with bright, fruity twists on classic oud foundations. Throughout this period, the brand maintained a small‑batch production model, sourcing raw materials directly from regional growers and artisans. The limited nature of each release has cultivated a modest but dedicated following, with collectors noting the consistency of quality across the evolving catalogue. The brand’s evolution reflects a steady accumulation of technical skill, a deepening relationship with suppliers, and a clear intent to carve a distinct niche within the global perfume community. Ibrahim Fuhaid approaches perfumery as a dialogue between heritage and innovation. The founder believes that a scent should tell a story rooted in place, yet speak to a universal audience. He prioritises authenticity, choosing ingredients that carry a trace of their origin—whether a forest‑grown oud or a field‑harvested iris. The brand avoids mass‑production shortcuts, instead embracing the discipline of small‑batch creation, which allows each formula to be refined repeatedly before release. Transparency guides the creative process; Ibrahim often shares the inspiration behind a fragrance on social media, inviting feedback from the community. Sustainability also informs the philosophy: the house works with suppliers who practice responsible harvesting, and it limits batch sizes to reduce waste. By balancing tradition with a forward‑looking mindset, the brand seeks to offer scents that feel both familiar and surprising, encouraging wearers to explore memory and imagination with each spritz.
