Heritage
A house, in its own words
The story of Dkhoon Emirates starts in 2015 when a group of Saudi entrepreneurs decided to translate the region’s rich olfactory traditions into modern fragrance formats. Their aim was to preserve the scent language of the Gulf while reaching a broader audience. Early development focused on sourcing high‑quality oud, amber and musk from local producers in Saudi Arabia, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. By 2021 the brand released its inaugural perfume, Dkhoon Rose, marking the transition from raw incense blends to bottled compositions. The following year the house added Dkhoon Leather, a scent that highlighted smoky accords and reinforced its commitment to material authenticity. 2023 proved pivotal, with the launch of QUEEN and Signature Rose Gold, two fragrances that referenced royal heritage and contemporary luxury without relying on generic superlatives. In 2024 the portfolio grew further with Dubai, HILAL 8, Muscat and ALHILAL 7, each reflecting a distinct geographic or cultural reference. Throughout this period Dkhoon maintained a dual distribution model: a dedicated e‑commerce platform and physical points of sale, most notably a flagship outlet in Westfield Dammam that showcases the brand’s incense, bakhoor and perfume lines side by side. The company’s growth has been documented by third‑party databases such as Crunchbase, which list its founding year and core activities, and by fragrance community sites like Fragrantica, which track the release dates of each edition. Dkhoon’s evolution illustrates a steady expansion from a niche incense producer to a recognized name in the modern Arabian perfume scene, while staying rooted in the cultural narratives that inspired its inception. Dkhoon Emirates frames its creative work as a dialogue between past and present. The brand believes that scent can convey stories of the desert, the sea and the market stalls where spices once traveled. Its designers treat each ingredient as a character, allowing oud to speak of ancient caravans while musk whispers of contemporary interiors. Authenticity guides every decision; the house avoids synthetic shortcuts when natural extracts are available, yet it embraces modern formulation tools that enhance stability and projection. Sustainability appears in the sourcing policy, with the company preferring regional growers who practice responsible harvesting. Transparency informs packaging choices, and the brand seeks to educate consumers about the origins of each note. Community engagement also shapes the philosophy: Dkhoon hosts workshops that teach traditional bakhoor preparation, reinforcing the idea that fragrance is both personal and shared. By balancing reverence for heritage with an eye toward current lifestyles, the house aims to create scents that feel familiar yet fresh, inviting wearers to experience a piece of Arabian culture in everyday moments.
