Twin sisters Britta and Carli Garsow founded Dyad Fragrance in Los Angeles, California. The brand began as a candle company in 2019, offering luxury home fragrance before the sisters made the deliberate move into personal scent. The transition to perfume marked a significant evolution for the company, arriving in 2021. That same year, Dyad introduced its first perfume oils, expanding the format options available to customers. The sisters built the brand from their Los Angeles base, developing a direct-to-consumer model that allows them to maintain control over customer relationships and product quality. The name Dyad, meaning a pair or group of two, anchors the brand's core philosophy. Each fragrance pairs two contrasting concepts, whether temporal opposites like high and low, or relational pairings like you and I. This naming convention reflects the sisters' interest in duality and balance. As a twin-founded company, the concept of pairs resonates personally and professionally.
