A house, in its own words
Claudio Zucca grew up in the province of Milan, where his mother’s enthusiasm for perfume introduced him to the world of scent at an early age. Born in 1985, he pursued a career in architecture, a discipline that taught him precision, spatial awareness and an appreciation for material quality. While working as an architect, he began experimenting with fragrance in his studio, using his understanding of structure to compose aromatic layers. In the late 2010s he met Nadia, a partner who shared his curiosity about scent and design. Their collaboration led to the establishment of Claudio Zucca Parfums, a venture that combined his architectural mindset with a desire to create personal, wearable art. The brand’s first public collection appeared in 2022, featuring Bois Primitif, Mineral Wood and Benjoin en Fleur, all released as extrait de parfum to emphasize concentration and longevity. 2023 saw the addition of Velvet Rose and Musk Tuberose, expanding the line into floral territory while retaining the house’s signature restraint. 2025 introduced Royal Verbena and Rose du Matin, marking the brand’s first foray into bright, citrus‑driven compositions. The most recent addition, Dolce Sicilia, arrived in 2026, drawing inspiration from the fragrant orchards of Sicily. Throughout its evolution, Claudio Zucca Parfums has remained a small‑scale operation, producing limited batches that allow close oversight of every step from raw material selection to final bottling. The house continues to operate from Milan, where the founder still sketches both building plans and fragrance formulas in the same studio space. The creative vision at Claudio Zucca Parfums rests on the belief that perfume, like architecture, should be both functional and expressive. Claudio describes his approach as a dialogue between scent and space, where each note occupies a defined position and contributes to an overall balance. The brand values authenticity, opting for ingredients that convey a clear identity rather than relying on synthetic tricks. Sustainability is considered through careful sourcing; natural absolutes are chosen from growers who practice responsible harvesting, and the company avoids excessive waste by producing in modest quantities. Transparency guides the formulation process: each fragrance is presented with a concise ingredient list, allowing enthusiasts to understand the building blocks of the scent. The house also embraces a minimalist aesthetic in its marketing, preferring quiet storytelling over loud hype. This restraint reflects a respect for the wearer’s personal experience, encouraging individuals to interpret the perfume in their own context rather than being told how it should feel.
