Billie Eilish entered the fragrance world in 2021, but she did not rush. She spent over a year working closely with Parlux Fragrances, Ltd to develop a debut scent that truly represented her. She was involved in every step of the process, from initial concept to final formulation. The debut fragrance, simply called Eilish, launched on November 10, 2021, exclusively through the Billie Eilish merch store. In March 2022, the fragrance expanded to wider retail distribution, making it accessible to a broader audience. The brand continued to grow with the release of Eilish No. 2, which introduced new facets of her olfactory identity. In 2024, she announced a third fragrance called YOUR TURN, set to launch exclusively through billieeilishfragrances.com. Each release has reflected her hands-on approach, with Eilish maintaining creative control that goes far beyond typical celebrity fragrance licensing arrangements. Eilish Fragrances operates on a clear principle: the brand should smell like the person behind it, not like a marketing exercise. Billie Eilish wanted a fragrance that felt like home, warm and inviting, something she could wear daily without feeling performative. That guiding idea shaped the amber gourmand direction of the debut and carried through subsequent releases. The brand also commits to clean formulation, vegan ingredients, and cruelty-free testing, reflecting values that have been central to her public identity. By selling directly through her own channels and limiting early availability, she maintains a closer connection with her audience. The philosophy is ultimately about authenticity over trend-chasing, creating scents she genuinely loves rather than chasing what the market expects.
