Heritage
A house, in its own words
The story of Bel Rebel begins with Natalia Mizejewska, a former marketing professional who decided to turn her love of perfume into a business during the global pandemic of 2020. In interviews she explained that the brand’s name reflects both the city that inspired her and a personal desire to challenge conventional fragrance narratives. The first launch, Bubble Gum, arrived later that year and was followed quickly by Air and Unrequited, establishing a pattern of rapid, seasonal releases. 2021 saw the addition of Stunned and Peach Me, two compositions that expanded the house’s palette while keeping the core principle of bold individuality. By 2022 the label had opened trans‑Atlantic shipping, offering free delivery to the United Kingdom and the United States and complimentary samples with any 69 ml purchase. In 2023 the collection grew with ...& The Pea, a scent that blends playful gourmand notes with a crisp finish, demonstrating the brand’s willingness to experiment within a consistent aesthetic. Throughout its first four years Bel Rebel has remained a small, London‑operated studio, handling formulation, bottling and distribution in‑house, which allows the team to respond quickly to market feedback and maintain tight quality control. The brand’s trajectory reflects a modern entrepreneurial spirit: a founder who launched amid uncertainty, a product line that prioritises speed and relevance, and a commitment to sustainable, cruelty‑free practices that resonate with today’s conscious consumers. Bel Rebel’s creative vision centres on the idea that fragrance should be a personal act of rebellion, not a prescribed trend. The house encourages wearers to choose scents that match their mood rather than a gender label, and it frames each launch as an invitation to experiment. Sustainability forms a core value; the brand describes its range as cruelty‑free and seeks to minimise waste through recyclable packaging and streamlined production runs. Transparency is another pillar: ingredient lists are published on the website, and the company openly shares its sourcing policies. Rather than chasing awards, Bel Rebel measures success by the frequency with which customers return for new releases, a metric that reflects the label’s focus on ongoing relevance. The brand’s editorial tone, both on its site and in interviews, emphasizes honesty, humor and a willingness to break rules, positioning the house as a conversational partner rather than a distant luxury gatekeeper.
