Palais Nasrides emerged from MABRA PARFUMS' atelier, where the perfumer sought to capture the regal hush of a palace corridor at twilight. Drawing on two rare Indonesian ouds, one from Borneo, the other from Sumatra, he paired them with amber and a touch of gazelle musk. The solitary top note of Borneol, a camphor-like spice, was chosen to cut through the richness, echoing the crisp edge of a marble doorway. From the first instant, the camphor edge hits the senses like a cool draft slipping through an ancient entrance, its sharpness bright and almost medicinal, slicing cleanly through the heavier elements waiting beneath. The amber arrives to soften the blow, its honeyed warmth cushioning the initial bite and transforming that crisp doorway into something inviting.

Beyond the opening, the composition leans into a powdery amber heart that recalls sun‑warmed stone, while the oud anchors the drydown with a deep, animalic woodiness.
