A house, in its own words
Zaraya arrived on the fragrance scene in 2023, founded in India by Kanish Chanjaya with a singular ambition: to build a collection of truly luxurious extraits that could stand beside the world's finest. Chanjaya's passion for luxury perfumery shaped the house from its very first breath, and the brand wasted no time establishing its identity as a gemstone-inspired atelier. The debut collection of six fragrances landed in 2025, each named for a precious stone: Crimson Ruby, Black Diamond, Orange Sapphire, Blue Topaz, Imperial Jade, and Golden Garnet. This was not a house testing the waters. It was a fully formed concept executed with confidence. The naming convention alone announced Zaraya's intent to position itself in the rarefied space of precious, collectible perfumery. Early reception suggested the gamble paid off. Collectors and enthusiasts responded quickly, and the brand's Zaraya Trias boxes, curated sets of three fragrances, began finding homes with discerning buyers across international borders. One of the first Trias boxes was acquired by a collector in Bahrain, a small but telling signal of the house's reach beyond its Indian origins. Crimson Ruby emerged as a flagship favourite, praised for its bold character and projection. By 2025, Zaraya had established itself as a noteworthy new voice in Indian niche perfumery, joining a growing wave of South Asian houses earning global recognition. Zaraya's creative vision rests on a simple but powerful premise: fragrance should be as indelible as a gemstone. The house believes that a great extrait doesn't just sit close to the skin. It announces itself. It commands space. It becomes part of how others remember you. Unisex sits at the core of this philosophy. Zaraya rejects the tired binary of masculine and feminine scent categories, designing compositions meant to move fluidly across identity and occasion. Each fragrance in the collection is built to project clean elegance, to maintain its presence without overwhelming the room, and to leave a lasting sensory impression. The gemstone naming convention is not decorative. It's foundational. Each stone carries its own associations: rubies for passion and fire, diamonds for depth and mystery, sapphires for vibrancy, topaz for clarity, jade for quiet luxury, garnet for warmth. Zaraya translates these material qualities into olfactory form, creating a collection that reads as a coherent world rather than a scattered lineup. The goal is straightforward: make a lasting impression, every time.
