Heritage
A house, in its own words
Tania Reuben grew up in a household shaped by her mother's preference for natural remedies and 'green' living, a background she largely set aside in her early adult years. Everything changed with the birth of her first child in 2009, an event that pulled those early habits back into focus and pushed her toward founding Pure Natural Diva that same year. The project began less as a fragrance house than as a lifestyle blog and resource for readers interested in non-toxic beauty, clean ingredients, and conscious consumer choices. Within a few years, Reuben moved from writing about natural products to making them, developing botanical perfume formulas in her own kitchen. By 2013 she had a finished quartet of scents ready for the market, and the four-bottle collection marked Pure Natural Diva's transition from a blog-driven brand to a product company. The house has remained a small, independently run operation out of Los Angeles, with Reuben credited in fragrance databases as the nose behind all four launch fragrances. The brand also extended beyond fine fragrance into bath and body products, carrying its signature scent profiles into accompanying body care items. Pure Natural Diva was built on a simple premise: fragrance should not require wearers to expose themselves, or the people around them, to synthetic ingredients likely to trigger allergic reactions. The brand's foundational positioning, as described in early coverage, was formulated specifically for people who want to smell good without risking reactions in themselves or bystanders, a stance that placed ingredient transparency at the center of the house's creative vision. Reuben drew on her own upbringing in a green household to inform her approach, treating natural perfumery as both a personal practice and an extension of the conscious-living ethos she had promoted through her blog since 2009. The brand resists the idea that clean beauty must mean faint or fleeting, instead aiming for botanical compositions that read as full-bodied fragrances with genuine longevity. Its four scent names (Pure, Natural, Diva, and Elixir) double as a kind of manifesto, each word gesturing toward a different facet of what a natural perfume can be, from clean and understated to confident and expressive.
