Heritage
A house, in its own words
Niven Morgan launched his namesake fragrance business in 1998 after relocating from Louisiana to Dallas. A Shreveport native with deep ties to the agricultural traditions of his family in West Monroe, Morgan built his brand on the idea that the scents encountered during his travels could be bottled and shared back home. Over the following 25 years, the company expanded from a small candle and home scent collection into a broader bath, body, and home fragrance line, with retail placement through independent shops like The Trenton House in West Monroe alongside national accounts. A 2023 feature marked March 21 as a milestone for the brand, coinciding with 25 years in business and Niven Morgan's ongoing involvement in Dallas's entrepreneurial and philanthropic community. The company has consistently maintained its headquarters in Dallas while drawing on Louisiana family heritage as a recurring creative anchor. Morgan's creative vision treats scent as a record of place. Each fragrance in the catalog begins with an excursion, whether walking the streets of New Orleans or traveling abroad, and the finished composition is meant to translate a specific moment or destination into something wearable and livable. Rather than chasing trend-driven profiles, the brand leans into personal memory and geographic inspiration, positioning fragrance as a form of storytelling rooted in experience. The approach also reflects a desire to bring a sense of the faraway into everyday rituals at home, making bath products and candles feel like souvenirs of somewhere else. Morgan has spoken about staying connected to his Louisiana roots while building a globally minded brand in Dallas, a duality that informs how the company balances accessibility with a sense of escape.
