Heritage
A house, in its own words
Bobbi Brown built her reputation as one of the most influential makeup artists of her generation before launching her eponymous brand, which became synonymous with effortless, wearable beauty. When she introduced Jones Road in 2019, she applied the same philosophy that guided her makeup line: the world does not need more products, it needs better ones. The brand emerged from her belief that simplicity produces better results. Fragrance had long been part of her original brand vocabulary, and fans had mourned the loss of products like Bobbi Brown Bath when that line discontinued. Shower arrived in May 2023 as Jones Road's first fragrance, and sources confirm it was developed as a reimagining of that beloved discontinued scent. The brand has since announced two additional fragrances, BKLYN arriving in 2025 and En Route in 2026, suggesting a longer-term fragrance ambitions built on the same clean, minimal principles that define the parent brand. Jones Road approaches fragrance the same way Bobbi Brown approached makeup: with conviction that less yields more. Rather than layering numerous notes into elaborate constructions, the brand seeks scents that feel like natural extensions of clean skin. This philosophy positions Jones Road outside typical fragrance conventions. Where the industry often rewards complexity and projection, Jones Road creates scents designed to feel intimate, almost skin-adjacent. The brand describes Shower as giving the feeling of having just stepped out of the shower, which tells you everything about their priority. They are not interested in announcing your presence when you enter a room. They want to reward anyone who gets close enough to notice. This intimate approach reflects a broader clean beauty ethos that rejects unnecessary ingredients and formulations in favor of something purer.
