Erox was established in 1993 in the United States, introducing its first fragrance pair simultaneously: Realm Cologne for Men and Realm Eau de Toilette for Women. This dual launch represented a strategic approach, targeting both the male and female markets from the brand inception. The timing placed Erox within a specific moment in American fragrance history, a period when domestic perfume production was evolving beyond emulating European traditions. The house distinguished itself early through its association with pheromone research, claiming to hold the US patent for using human pheromones in fragrance formulations. By 1997, Erox expanded its offerings with the Inner Realm line, releasing Inner Realm for Women and Inner Realm For Men Eau de Cologne. The brand maintained a measured release schedule, with subsequent flankers and limited editions appearing over the following years, including Realm Intense in 2015. The company has remained relatively small in scope, concentrating on its core pheromone-enhanced positioning rather than pursuing aggressive market expansion.
