A house, in its own words
The house emerged from friendship and shared obsession. Luke Granger and Jason Collison began discussing the idea in the early 2010s, drawn together by a passion for fine perfumery and Roman history. With Collison serving as the catalyst and Granger's wife offering crucial support, the pair officially launched Electimuss in 2015, establishing an independent British fragrance house outside the traditional perfume industry. From the start, they rejected the conventional route—establishing direct relationships with ingredient suppliers and perfumers rather than working through intermediaries. The Roman Empire provided the creative anchor: its rituals, its excess, its conquest. In 2019, Claire joined the team to help expand the brand's reach and solidify its presence in the niche fragrance market. A decade after inception, Electimuss remains privately held, preserving the creative freedom that shaped its identity from the start. Electimuss creates fragrance as a form of assertion. The house operates from a clear premise: perfume should command attention, evoke grandeur, and carry narrative weight. Rather than chasing trend cycles, the creative team draws inspiration directly from Roman history—emperors, battles, sacred ceremonies, and hedonistic banquets. This historical anchor grounds each composition in story while remaining accessible to contemporary wearers. The house positions itself against subtlety for its own sake. Their fragrances project confidently, using high concentrations and significant materials to ensure lasting presence. The target audience values distinction over discretion—individuals who understand fragrance as an extension of identity rather than background ambience. Electimuss designs for wearers who want their scent noticed, remembered, and discussed.
