Heritage
A house, in its own words
Caia Cosmetics was founded in 2018 by four Swedish entrepreneurs: singer and television personality Bianca Ingrosso, Vanessa Lindblad, Mikael Snabb, and Jesper Matsch. The quartet united around a shared frustration with beauty industry gatekeeping, and set out to build a brand rooted in transparency, accessibility, and modern Scandinavian sensibility. From the outset, Caia moved with the pace of social media culture. Early momentum came through digital-first storytelling, with Ingrosso's large television following introducing the brand to a broad Nordic audience almost immediately. Within months of launch, Caia became one of the most talked-about beauty names in Sweden. The brand entered fragrance in 2019 with its first perfume release. Since that debut, the house has built a catalogue of 14 fragrances, steadily expanding its scent portfolio year on year. According to external fragrance databases, the collection continues to grow, with the newest addition dated 2026. Caia's trajectory reflects a wider shift in how beauty brands emerge. Rather than following the traditional luxury template of gradual, department-store-led growth, the founders built community first and product second. That foundation gave the fragrance line an unusually warm reception when it arrived, and it continues to shape the brand's relationship with its audience today. Caia operates on a scent-first philosophy wrapped in Scandinavian minimalism. The brand believes fragrance should be expressive, not precious, and its creation process reflects that outlook. Each perfume is designed to complement an actual mood, season, or moment in a wearer's day, rather than to chase abstract notions of luxury. Clean, vegan formulations sit at the core of the creative vision. Caia was among the earlier Swedish beauty brands to commit to fully vegan fragrance compositions, aligning its product ethics with the values of its consumer base. The house also positions itself as a curator of feeling. Rather than overwhelming the wearer with complexity, Caia fragrances tend to be built around recognizable ideas: warmth, brightness, softness, or boldness. This clarity of intention gives the lineup a distinct personality and makes it easy for customers to build a small wardrobe of scents, each with its own role. Collaboration is part of the philosophy too. Caia's perfumes are created in partnership with established fragrance houses, a move that marries the brand's contemporary voice with deep perfumery expertise.
