Heritage
A house, in its own words
Bravo Sierra took shape in New York City between 2018 and 2019, founded by Justin Guilbert and Benjamin Bernet. The pair set out to build a personal care company rooted in performance and purpose. Their original mission centered on supporting U.S. military service members, veterans, and their families, a vision that shaped the brand's identity from day one. The company officially launched in August 2019 with a lineup of high-performance body care, including cleansers, moisturizers, and shave products engineered for sweat, friction, weather, and long days on duty. While civilian adoption grew quickly, the original DNA remained military-first. In 2021, the brand took a decisive step into fine fragrance. Drawing on more than two years of formulation work, Bravo Sierra partnered with Givaudan to develop a trio of unisex body fragrances: Suede Musk, Marine Salt, and Smoked Orris. The collection translated the brand's most successful body care formulations into wearable scents, re-engineered for the realities of an active life. Early reception among fragrance reviewers placed Smoked Orris and Marine Salt among the more distinctive American launches of the year, praised for clarity of composition and a tactile, skin-close quality uncommon in the body fragrance category. The brand continued to grow its grooming range while reinforcing its Made in the USA supply chain and clean ingredient standards. Bravo Sierra holds a clear belief: fragrance should perform as hard as the person wearing it. The team designs for active bodies first, treating scent as a functional layer of personal care rather than a finishing touch. Every composition targets how skin smells during motion, under stress, and in changing weather. The brand resists the idea that high performance requires harsh chemistry. Clean ingredient sourcing sits at the center of the creative process, along with transparent American manufacturing. For founder Benjamin Bernet, who brings a fine fragrance perspective to the partnership with Givaudan, that balance of rigor and refinement defines the house. Three fragrance archetypes structure the collection: an animalic-musky profile, a clean aquatic, and a smoky floral. Each is intended to be worn close to the skin and to evolve naturally over the course of an active day. The brand describes the approach as fragrance reimagineered for real life, a positioning that distinguishes it from both traditional perfumery and standard body sprays.
