Heritage
A house, in its own words
The story begins in 1912 in downtown Seattle, where Samuel Silverman and Ben Bridge opened a single small jewelry store. The two partners built the business together until 1927, when Sam relocated to California. Ben purchased Sam's interest, renamed the company Ben Bridge Jeweler, and began shaping a family legacy that would span generations. Over the decades, the chain expanded across the West Coast and beyond, becoming recognized as one of the oldest jewelry store chains in America. Jon Bridge served as Co-CEO for more than twenty years before introducing his niece, Lisa Bridge, who would eventually drive its first foray into fragrance. In November 2010, Lisa Bridge, then serving as director of education, initiated the creation of Flawless, the brand's debut perfume. The launch represented a departure from jewelry retail, extending the Ben Bridge name into a new category while drawing on the company's century-long emphasis on personal adornment and self-expression. Today, Ben Bridge operates as a subsidiary within the broader jewelry industry, with Flawless remaining its singular contribution to the fragrance world. Ben Bridge's creative vision for fragrance emerged from the same instincts that shaped its jewelry business: the idea that personal adornment, whether a ring, a watch, or a scent, should feel inseparable from the wearer's identity. Lisa Bridge conceived of Flawless as an extension of the jeweler's role, positioning fragrance alongside the gemstones and metals that had defined the brand for nearly a century. Rather than chasing trends in a crowded perfume market, the approach centered on creating a single signature scent that could serve as a complement to the brand's existing offerings. The choice to enter perfumery through one carefully considered launch, rather than a sprawling lineup, reflects a philosophy of restraint and intentionality. For a jeweler accustomed to helping customers select pieces that mark life's moments, introducing a fragrance offered a new way to engage the senses and deepen the emotional connection between brand and wearer.
