Heritage
A house, in its own words
The brand's documented history is still in its early chapters. Alexx and Anton emerged as a creative partnership with roots in visual culture and aesthetic curation, building a following through their design sensibility before crossing into olfaction. The duo debuted their perfume project in 2021 with two simultaneous releases, Coquet and Vaudou, both composed by British perfumer Will Inrig. Their appearance at Pitti Fragranze in 2023 under the fair's 'True Niche' banner positioned the house within a curated selection of independent fragrance makers, offering one of the first third-party confirmations of the brand's niche fragrance credentials. The partnership with Inrig has remained central to the house, grounding a young brand in a perfumer with an established independent practice. For Alexx and Anton, perfume operates as a ritual, a way of bringing consciousness to a deliberate act. Their stated framing treats scent as an extension of a wider aesthetic world rather than a commercial product line, which is a relatively unusual position in a category driven by launch cycles and flankers. The two fragrances in the debut pair, Coquet and Vaudou, were conceived together as companion pieces, each exploring a different register of allure and the occult through a shared olfactory vocabulary. The house has expressed an interest in the ceremonial and intentional aspects of wearing fragrance, placing personal meaning ahead of trend-driven design.
