    Nancy Meiland

Nancy Meiland did not set out to become a perfumer. Trained as an actress, she stumbled into the world of scent through a chance encounter at a party in St James, London, where she met perfumer Anastasia Brozler. That conversation sparked a curiosity that led her to abandon the stage and follow her nose instead. She apprenticed alongside respected noses including Lyn Harris, absorbing the craft through years of hands-on work. Today, she runs Nancy Meiland Parfums, creating bespoke and signature scents for clients who want something truly individual. Her background in performance gives her an intuitive understanding of identity and transformation, qualities she weaves into every bottle she creates.

    How Nancy composes

Nancy brings a theatrical sensibility to her compositions, constructing fragrance narratives with real emotional arc. She gravitates toward high-quality natural ingredients, working with resins, florals, and woods that offer complexity and depth. Her scents tend to unfold gradually on the skin, revealing new facets over time rather than announcing themselves all at once. The result feels considered and lasting, built for someone who values substance over spectacle.

    Philosophy

    What drives Nancy

Nancy believes scent is deeply personal. She designs for people who reject the idea of fragrance as mere accessory and instead see it as an extension of self. Her approach prioritizes individuality over trend. She listens closely to what clients need, then translates that into wearable art. Her creative process is collaborative and unhurried. She avoids the formulaic, preferring to build compositions that feel like secrets worth keeping.
