Louison Grajcar
Louison Grajcar arrived in Paris in 1994 with a fashion design education from the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp already tucked under his belt. The Belgian-born creative had trained in couture's capital, but his true olfactory ambitions pulled him toward perfumery. He studied at Cinquième Sens, the prestigious Parisian fragrance school, and in 1996 opened a boutique atelier that quickly drew a devoted following among discerning Japanese clients. The boutique flourished for over a decade before Grajcar channeled his couture sensibilities into something more intimate: Technique Indiscrète, his own fragrance and cosmetics line launched in 2008. Working from an independent laboratory in Paris, he crafts perfumes alongside scented candles, soaps, and botanical products, maintaining full creative control over every bottle that leaves his workshop. His work bridges the artisanal traditions of French perfumery with the conceptual boldness of his fashion training, producing scents that feel both classical and unexpectedly modern.

How Louison composes
The Technique Indiscrète collection currently spans seven Eaux de Parfum accompanied by six floral waters, offering clients multiple entry points into Grajcar's olfactory world. His debut fragrance, Indiscrète, established his signature: fresh and fruity opening notes give way to a floral heart where jasmine and rose dominate, resolving into a warm, lingering drydown. He favors high-quality natural materials balanced with thoughtful synthetic components, a classical approach filtered through contemporary sensibility. His independent laboratory allows him to experiment freely, producing smaller batches with greater attention to detail than mainstream houses typically permit. The line's aesthetic prioritizes clarity and whimsy simultaneously, scents that feel accessible yet refuse to be predictable.
Philosophy
What drives Louison
Grajcar approaches fragrance as wearable storytelling. He draws inspiration from figures and moments that carry emotional weight, translating their essence into scent rather than simply composing pleasant mixtures. His background in fashion design instilled a respect for craft as narrative, and he brings that perspective to every formulation. He believes perfume should provoke thought and feeling, not merely smell agreeable. This conviction drives him toward original compositions rather than safe crowd-pleasers, even as he maintains the technical precision his classical training demands. His atelier model reflects this philosophy, offering clients not just products but an experience rooted in personal connection and artisanal authenticity.
