Christian Dussoulier
Christian Dussoulier cut his teeth at two of the most demanding fragrance houses in the world, and the training shows. A graduate of ISIPCA, the Versailles school that has produced an extraordinary share of the industry's leading noses, he spent eight formative years at Givaudan before moving to Firmenich, where he stayed for roughly fourteen years. That dual apprenticeship, one at a house known for its technical precision and the other for its creative reach, gave him a rare combination of analytical rigor and compositional confidence. He went on to found his own company, Dussoulier Parfums, continuing the work he had refined inside the industry's largest players. Among his most recognized contributions is Miracle Parfum, the richer, more intense interpretation of Lancôme's iconic floral, a project that required balancing a beloved original with the desire to push deeper into its amber and woody base.

How Christian composes
Dussoulier's signature lies in his precise treatment of florals and his willingness to let rich, warm bases do structural work beneath brighter top notes. He builds compositions with a certain architectural clarity: each ingredient earns its position, and nothing reads as decorative. His work on Miracle Parfum demonstrates this, layering fresh, luminous florals over a deep, resinous foundation that gives the scent its distinctive gravity. He gravitates toward materials that age well on skin, ambers, musks, woods, and tends to favor compositions where a generous heart of flowers meets a base with real staying power. The result is perfumery that feels considered and grounded, elegant without being precious, and crafted to endure.
Philosophy
What drives Christian
Dussoulier approaches fragrance as a craft rooted in structure, patience, and the discipline of revision. His years inside major houses taught him that a perfume must perform in the real world, on real skin, across hours of wear, and not merely impress in the evaluation room. He has spoken about the importance of listening to a brief, interpreting what a brand truly wants, and then making the creative decisions necessary to bring that vision into focus. He believes in longevity, both in formulas that age well commercially and in scents that reveal new facets to the wearer over time. For Dussoulier, a successful composition is one that holds together, tells a coherent story from top to base, and earns its place in someone's daily ritual.
