Caramel Pop arrived in 2023 as Vivamor Parfums pushed deeper into gourmand territory. The brand, founded in France in 2022, had built its early catalogue around bold oriental accords. Caramel Pop was a deliberate pivot, an attempt to translate something as specific as cinema popcorn into something worth wearing. The brief was unconventional: take an amusement park note and make it sophisticated enough to wear in any season. Perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur worked with a caramelized popcorn accord that kept its buttery edge while gaining depth from roasted chestnut and a warm vanilla base. The result was a fragrance that leans into comfort without sacrificing complexity.

The caramelized popcorn accord is the structural pivot here. Plain caramel in perfumery tends to read flat, sugary without texture. Popcorn carries that characteristic burnt-sugar note that gives the accord its edge. It is the warmth of a street vendor's kettle, translated into something that sits close to skin.
