Vioris Co., Ltd. opened its doors in Seoul in 2006, founded by a small team of fragrance enthusiasts who wanted to create scents that resonated with Korean women’s daily lives. The first release, Vioris 1, arrived in 2007 and introduced a light, citrus‑green profile that set the tone for the brand’s emphasis on clarity and balance. Early growth was driven by word‑of‑mouth within Seoul’s boutique perfume circles, and by 2010 the company had secured distribution in major Korean department stores. In 2012 Vioris entered the international market, launching a limited‑edition line in the United States through specialty retailers. The following year the brand introduced its “Vioris 13” series, a collection of thirteen distinct fragrances that explored deeper emotional narratives while retaining the brand’s signature transparency. 2015 marked a milestone when Vioris partnered with a Korean textile designer to create a limited‑run bottle series featuring hand‑etched patterns inspired by traditional hanbok fabrics. This collaboration highlighted the brand’s willingness to merge cultural heritage with modern design. By 2018 Vioris opened a small fragrance lab in Gangnam, allowing customers to sample raw materials and learn about the composition process. The lab also began offering bespoke blending sessions, a service that attracted both local collectors and overseas visitors. In 2021 the house released Remember When, a scent that references nostalgic memory through a blend of soft florals and warm amber, and it was praised in several fragrance blogs for its nuanced storytelling. Most recently, in 2023 Vioris announced a shift toward sustainable packaging, introducing refillable aluminium atomisers and sourcing several key ingredients from certified organic farms in Jeju Island. Throughout its evolution, Vioris has maintained a focus on quality, transparency, and a distinctly Korean sensibility, carving a niche that bridges the gap between high‑end perfumery and everyday accessibility. Vioris approaches scent as a personal narrative rather than a mere product. The brand believes that fragrance should accompany life’s moments, from a morning commute to an evening celebration.
