Heritage
A house, in its own words
The Fragrance Design Studio arrived on the perfume landscape during a particularly crowded period for niche perfumery. Between 2012 and 2015, the brand released an extensive series of numerically titled compositions, building a catalog piece by piece rather than through splashy seasonal launches. The earliest documented releases date to 2012, with fragrances carrying designations like No. 12, No. 14, No. 17, No. 21, No. 23, and No. 30 entering the catalog. The following year, 2013, proved to be the brand's most prolific period, introducing No. 01, No. 02, No. 05, No. 06, No. 09, No. 11, No. 26, No. 28, No. 35, and additional numbered works. By 2014, the studio added No. 33, No. 40, and No. 51, and the range continued to expand into 2015 with No. 19 and No. 79. This deliberate, systematic approach to catalog building set the brand apart. Rather than anchoring each release to a marketing narrative, the studio allowed the numbers themselves to become the through-line, creating a framework that invites collectors to trace the sequence and seek out missing pieces. Details about the brand's specific location and founding principals remain limited in publicly available sources. What is clear is the commitment to a cohesive output during a defined window of creativity, producing dozens of numbered editions that together form a singular body of work.
