Timur Solodov
Timur Solodov did not arrive at perfumery the conventional way. After more than a decade navigating investment banking and the oil and gas sector, he made a decisive turn toward scent. He founded NŌSE with a specific vision: to offer his own take on fragrance, shaped by distinctly Russian olfactory memories rather than inherited European conventions. Solodov has expressed quiet pride that NŌSE became the first Russian artisan brand to establish production at a proper manufacturing facility. He draws on sensory associations from his Russian upbringing that diverge from the generally accepted style in world perfumery. The independent house operates outside commercial pressures, letting creative conviction drive decisions rather than market positioning.

How Timur composes
Timur Solodov favors restraint and unexpected combinations. His compositions layer materials that might seem incongruous at first: opoponax with elemi and magnolia, seaweed with patchouli. Precision drives his work over ornamentation. Marine and earth notes coexist in his creations, producing something austere yet unexpectedly organic.
Philosophy
What drives Timur
Timur Solodov prioritizes emotional authenticity over market positioning. He believes perfume communicates what language cannot, and the measure of a fragrance lies in whether it captures a genuine feeling, not whether it follows a trend. His work reflects a desire to share something personal rather than manufacture appeal.
