Sandra Dziad
Sandra Dziad grew up in a household where art was not merely appreciated but lived. Her father, a painter and sculptor, her mother, a dancer: the sensory language she now speaks in scent began forming long before she ever stepped into a laboratory. She trained at Parfums Galimard in Grasse beginning in 2007, building her foundation in the classical traditions of French perfumery before rising to lead. In 2014, she took the helm as director of 1ST MOOD, and by 2023 had founded W-THINKMAKE, expanding her reach into broader creative consultancy. Over her career, she has composed more than a thousand bespoke fragrances, many for internationally recognized figures who seek her out for work that cannot be found on any shelf. From her atelier at the Bastide Du Bois in Grasse, she continues to create private commissions alongside collaborative projects with houses including Fragrance Du Bois.

How Sandra composes
Sandra Dziad's signature skews toward clarity and luminosity. Reviewers have described her work as having a clean, fresh quality, with a certain modern elegance that avoids heaviness or excess. She favors bright, well-crafted compositions where each ingredient has room to breathe. Her approach balances classical French technique with contemporary sensibility, producing fragrances that feel both grounded in tradition and thoroughly current. Clients seeking her out for bespoke work often describe wanting something that feels effortless, and Dziad delivers this through careful modulation rather than complexity for its own sake. Her work with First Edition in 2019 demonstrated her range within a commercial framework, while her bespoke practice reveals her preference for precision over spectacle.
Philosophy
What drives Sandra
For Sandra Dziad, perfumery is an act of translation. She listens to what a client cannot say in words and renders it in materials. Rather than chasing trends, she pursues authenticity in composition, believing the finest fragrance is one that feels inevitable rather than designed. She draws constant inspiration from the natural world surrounding her Grasse atelier, yet approaches botanical and synthetic materials with equal curiosity, never bound by convention. Her work in bespoke perfumery has taught her that restraint often speaks louder than abundance. She considers the stories behind each commission as essential as the final liquid, because for her, a fragrance only truly exists in the relationship between the scent and the person wearing it.
