Linda Sivrican
Linda Sivrican grew up in a Vietnamese household where the aromas of her mother’s kitchen sparked a lifelong fascination with scent. After studying chemistry and perfumery fundamentals, she entered the industry as a formulator, quickly earning respect for her precision and imagination. In 2012 she co‑founded Capsule Parfumerie in Los Angeles, a boutique house that houses eight distinct fragrance brands, each crafted under her direction. Her early work caught the eye of the Art & Olfaction community, and she secured the Artisan Award in 2020, later serving as a judge for the same competition. Over the past decade she has authored more than twenty‑nine fragrances, blending technical rigor with personal narrative to create scents that feel both intimate and daring. Today she mentors emerging noses and continues to expand Capsule’s portfolio while preserving the hands‑on spirit that defined her first experiments in a family kitchen.

How Linda composes
Linda’s signature technique centers on precise accord building. She starts with a clear focal material—often a rare orchid absolute, a vintage civet, or a sustainably sourced oud—and constructs supporting layers that amplify rather than mask its character. She favors natural extracts that retain their innate texture, pairing them with clean synthetics that add longevity without compromising authenticity. Her palettes frequently include green tea, lemongrass, and soft woods, creating a fresh yet grounded mood. In the studio she works methodically, documenting each dilution and adjusting ratios by the milligram, which yields fragrances that feel both refined and approachable.
Philosophy
What drives Linda
Linda treats each composition as a conversation between memory and material. She believes that premium ingredients deserve honest treatment, so she lets a single note speak before layering complexity. Her work honors the cultural roots of scent, often weaving subtle references to Vietnamese flora or culinary herbs into modern structures. She pursues balance, not excess, and measures success by the emotional response a fragrance elicits rather than by market trends. This disciplined curiosity drives her to experiment with rare absolutes while staying grounded in the tactile experience of perfume as a wearable story.
