    Enrico Coveri

Enrico Coveri was not a perfumer himself, but rather an Italian fashion designer whose namesake fragrance line brought his bold, flamboyant vision to the world of scent. Born in 1952 in Italy, Coveri built a reputation in the late 1970s and 1980s for his flashy, rock-and-roll inspired fashion collections featuring sequins, metallics, and provocative silhouettes. His untimely death in 1990 at age 38 cut short a career that had only begun reaching its full commercial and cultural potential. The Enrico Coveri fragrance house emerged during this period, allowing perfumers working under his label to translate his extravagant aesthetic into liquid form. These creations captured the glamour, excess, and playfulness that defined Coveri's fashion empire, maintaining his legacy even after his premature passing from lung cancer.

    How Enrico composes

The Enrico Coveri fragrance style reflects 1980s opulence at its most confident. House creations favored rich, warmoriental compositions with generous lashings of aldehydes, heavy floral bouquets, and deep resinous bases. Think bold white florals statements, intoxicating ambery drydowns, and an overall aura of confident femininity and masculinity. The aesthetic was theatrical, unapologetic, and unmistakably of its era.

    Philosophy

    What drives Enrico

The Enrico Coveri fragrance philosophy centered on translating high-octane glamour into accessible luxury. Rather than reflecting a single perfumer's creative vision, the house approach embodied Coveri himself: unapologetically bold, sexually charged, and dripping with disco-era excess. The guiding principle was spectacle over subtlety, capturing the energy of a fashion house that dressed rock stars and socialites alike.
