Eglija Vaitkevice
Eglija Vaitkevice grew up in the shadow of post-war Europe, where scent offered a quiet rebellion against scarcity. She earned a chemistry degree before turning to the Grasse Institute of Perfumery, where she honed her nose among a generation of legendary creators. After graduating, Robert Piguet recognized her talent and invited her to assist on several high-cuisine projects. In 2015 she launched the Exaltatum London line, a suite of modern classics that quickly earned praise from critics and collectors. Today she balances work for niche houses with her own experimental lab, mentoring young noses and championing sustainable sourcing.

How Eglija composes
Eglija’s technique blends classical French structure with a subtle Eastern twist. She builds foundations with crisp citrus and green notes, then layers heart accords of tea, jasmine or heliotrope. Her dry-down often features ambergris, oud or smoked woods, giving depth without overpowering. She favors natural extracts whenever possible, but she does not shy away from synthetics that add precision. Her signatures include a bright opening that softens into a warm, lingering finish, inviting the wearer to return.
Philosophy
What drives Eglija
Eglija believes a fragrance must capture a moment’s honesty, not a fantasy. She starts each brief by listening to the story behind the brief, then translates that narrative into a palette of raw materials that feel both familiar and surprising. She avoids gimmicks, preferring ingredients that age gracefully on skin. Sustainability guides every choice; she seeks suppliers who respect biodiversity and fair trade. For her, perfume is a dialogue between creator and wearer, a silent exchange that reveals character.
