    Real talk

The jasmine heart in a 90s men's fragrance is either its genius move or its dealbreaker, depends who's wearing it. If you want to smell like every other vetiver-cedar cologne, keep walking.Samouraï (1995)
Every house has done a fresh fragrance. The problem is most of them stop there, the opening shine, then blank. Eau Sauvage Cologne is different. François Demachy put all the energy in the top but made sure the heart has substance and the base has weight. It doesn't smell like most colognes, which smell like air fresheners and waiting rooms. Dior's version smells like it just walked in from the Mediterranean coast in the sunshine, citrus and woody depth coexisting, making you remember this isn't your grandfather's herbal remedy.Eau Sauvage
