Vér Nyberg
Vér Nyberg grew up in a small French village, far from the Laboratories and warehouses of Grasse, yet her path led her directly into the heart of the fragrance industry. After completing her studies, she took a position as a quality controller of raw materials at a perfumery company in Grasse, the very city where generations of perfumers have learned their craft. That early work in evaluation and sourcing gave her an intimate knowledge of materials that many perfumers never acquire. She sharpened her palate against the standards of the industry, learning to distinguish quality at its most fundamental level. Her career advanced steadily, and in 2014 she moved to Paris to join MANE as Vice President of Fine Fragrance Creation, taking on creative direction for the house's fine fragrance division. Today, she ranks among the most interesting perfumers working today, her approach shaped by both scientific discipline and a deep respect for raw materials that she first learned to evaluate in those Grasse warehouses.

How Vér composes
Those familiar with Nyberg's work describe her as a disciplined and exact creator who builds fragrances with a studied hand. She favors compositions where structure and intention are clear, where each material serves a purpose within the larger design. Her background in quality control gave her a deep appreciation for raw material integrity, and this shows in work that tends toward clarity and definition rather than opacity or noise. She has shown particular interest in creating fragrances that carry narrative weight, as evidenced by her Rosa Bonheur-inspired composition developed for the magazine Nez. Her style could be characterized as precise yet evocative, where scientific rigor supports rather than constrains creative expression.
Philosophy
What drives Vér
Nyberg believes the best scents never come from playing it safe. Her philosophy centers on the conviction that meaningful fragrance requires a willingness to take creative risks, to push beyond familiar combinations into territory that feels genuinely new. She approaches each composition as both scientist and artist, trusting her trained palate while remaining open to unexpected discoveries during the creative process. Working at MANE, she has the freedom to explore broadly while maintaining the precision that defines her work. She has spoken about how parfumerie offers a unique form of creative expression, where technical mastery and artistic vision must work in concert.
