A house, in its own words
Francisco Gratacós spent nearly three decades immersed in the fragrance industry before deciding the market needed something different. Rather than simply adding another name to the niche perfume landscape, he envisioned a house that could redefine what contemporary luxury means in scent form. The pivotal moment arrived when he met Rodrigo Flores-Roux, a perfumer whose artistry aligned perfectly with Gratacós's ambition. Together, they built Wilgermain not around a single signature note or familiar template, but around the conviction that luxury should feel personal and present. The house launched its first releases around 2020, beginning with Aquafortis, Radianza, Inconfessable, Possession, and More is More. Since then, the collection has expanded to include So Suede, Fleur à l'Extrême, Bois Barbare, Rose Revenge, and Passion Victim, all composed by Flores-Roux. Each fragrance arrives without fanfare or trend-chasing, simply when it feels ready.
Wilgermain rejects the conventional machinery of fragrance launches. There is no seasonal collection, no pressure to produce for fashion weeks, no adaptation of formulas to hit price points. Instead, Gratacós and Flores-Roux work when inspiration strikes and the result feels complete. This anti-fashion stance defines the house more than any single ingredient or note family. They describe their approach as creating contemporary luxury, which means scents that feel relevant now rather than nostalgic or derivative. The house resists the idea that niche perfumery must be inaccessible or deliberately difficult. Their goal centers on bringing thoughtful, expertly crafted fragrances to a wider audience without compromising on quality or vision. Every release asks the same question: does this smell extraordinary, and does it say something worth hearing?
