Olivier Polge, Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo

Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion, and Olivier Polge represent three distinct creative voices that have shaped contemporary perfumery through a series of landmark collaborations. Flipo's path began at the perfumery school in Versailles, where raw materials captured her imagination and launched a 35-year career at IFF. Ropion, trained in Grasse with rigorous classical technique, developed a reputation for architectural precision in composition. Polge, born into fragrance royalty as the son of Jacques Polge, initially pursued art history and dreamed of becoming a concert pianist before a summer internship in his father's laboratory redirected his path. He trained at Charabot and ACM, joining IFF as a trainee in 1998. The three met at IFF, where their shared sensibility for modern florals and bold, graphic structures led to iconic partnerships. Their collaboration on Lancôme's La Vie Est Belle became one of the defining fragrances of the 2010s, demonstrating how three distinct artistic perspectives could merge into something singularly powerful. Polge later succeeded his father as Chanel's house perfumer in 2013, while Ropion and Flipo continued their prolific work across luxury and niche houses.
