The Story of Dr. Paolo Vranjes
Paolo Vranjes grew up surrounded by fragrance. His grandfather, a silk merchant, kept a room filled with precious essences and ointments, a space that planted an indelible seed. "The culture of perfumes was literally infused in me," Vranjes has said. Trained as a pharmacist, chemist, and cosmetologist, he worked alongside leading Italian cosmetologists crafting luxury wellness treatments before turning to perfumery in the early 1980s. He began experimenting with home scents born from that Florentine room, and word spread quickly among discerning circles. By the early 1990s, Vranjes opened his first boutique in Florence, which became a pilgrimage site for perfume connoisseurs. The royal family and Hollywood celebrities sought out his creations. Four decades later, Vranjes remains the sole nose at his Maison, designing everything from home fragrances to personal perfumes, with products still handcrafted in Tuscany. The brand celebrates its roots in Florence, where Brunelleschi's Dome inspired the iconic diffuser bottle shape.
