    The Story of __SOFT_DELETED__Coral Lions-rose

Coral Lions-Rose® is a prized rose-derived ingredient celebrated in fine perfumery for its warm, multi-faceted floral profile. It carries the classic richness of Damask rose while introducing softer, sun-kissed undertones that evoke warmth and modern elegance on the skin.

    Heritage

The rose has been central to perfumery since antiquity. Persian and Arab alchemists perfected rose water and attar distillation techniques centuries before modern chemistry emerged, while ancient Greek and Roman texts document rose petals pressed into ointments and perfumes. The city of Grasse in Provence became the epicenter of European rose cultivation by the 18th century, when court demand for floral fragrances drove farmers to replace staple crops with rose fields. By the early 1900s, Grasse employed thousands of workers in the intensive manual harvest of rose petals, a scene captured in historic photographs from 1915 showing crews stripping petals at dawn to preserve volatile aromatic compounds before heat could degrade them. The rose's journey from ancient ceremonial use to Grasse workshops to modern fine fragrance represents one of perfumery's most continuous ingredient lineages.

    Production

    How __SOFT_DELETED__Coral Lions-rose Is Made

Coral Lions-Rose® is produced through solvent extraction, a method that revolutionized perfumery in the late 19th century by capturing aromatic compounds that steam distillation can miss. Freshly harvested rose petals are washed in a food-grade solvent, typically hexane, which dissolves the aromatic molecules including phenylethyl alcohol, citronellol, and geraniol. The solvent is then gently evaporated, leaving behind a waxy concrete. A second wash with ethanol separates the aromatic constituents, and removing the ethanol yields a viscous, intensely aromatic rose absolute with a characteristic warm, honeyed hue that inspired the coral name. This process preserves the full complexity of the scent, including the delicate top-note molecules that are often lost in simpler extraction methods.
