The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Love in White for Summer arrived in 2018 as Creed's seasonal limited edition, a lighter, fresher take on the house's best-selling women's fragrance, Love In White. The brief was simple: translate that signature softness into something that works when the temperature climbs. Not louder. Not stronger. Just right for heat. The result is a composition built around restraint, fruit-forward, powdery-floral, cedarwood grounding, designed as a summer companion rather than an everyday signature.
What makes this work is the handoff. The fruit opening doesn't compete with the florals that follow, it clears the way. Iris and jasmine arrive not as a wall but as a gentle transition, powdery and soft. Rice adds an unexpected creaminess at the heart that most flankers skip. Cedarwood does the heavy lifting in the base, but alone, no amber, no vanilla, no patchouli to complicate things. The result is linear in the best way: nothing fights, nothing shouts.
The evolution
The opening hits bright and tart, apple, red berries, a flash of peach. Cranberry adds a slight edge. The top lasts about 30 minutes before the florals begin their slow takeover. Jasmine enters first, soft and familiar. Then the iris turns powdery, freesia adds a clean green note, and the rice grounds everything with a subtle grain-like warmth. By hour three, cedarwood is the story, warm, woody, intimate. The drydown is quiet. Close to the skin. Lasts 6-8 hours on most. Moderate sillage means it doesn't fill a room, but it doesn't disappear either.
Cultural impact
Love in White for Summer is a limited seasonal release, available in 75 ml only. It fills a specific gap in the Creed lineup: a lighter, more wearable option for warm weather. Not a statement fragrance. A summer companion. This flanker brings the prestigious House of Creed's signature powdery iris to a broader seasonal audience, making haute perfumery accessible for summer wear.
